About the Traditions Kentucky Deluxe

This isn’t a reproduction meant to sit in a display case. Traditions builds these rifles to be used, and the Kentucky Deluxe offers a good balance of features for the money. It’s built around a .50 caliber barrel, which is a common and versatile caliber for muzzleloaders. It comes with a 33.5-inch blued octagonal barrel, and the rifling has a 1:66” twist, which works well with patched round balls. The longer barrel helps with sight alignment and a steadier hold.

The lock is color case hardened with a V-type mainspring which means a quicker lock time. The stock is made from select hardwood with solid brass furniture, and it includes a brass-covered patchbox for carrying flints, patches, and other accessories in the field. The double-set triggers allow you to fine-tune the pull for maximum accuracy. The rifle is approximately 52.6 inches long and just under 9 pounds.
