The Weatherby Mark V Backcountry 2.0 is the pinnacle of lightweight, high-performance bolt-action rifles. Built on the legendary Weatherby Mark V action, this rifle features a super-thin, fluted barrel and a carbon fiber Peak 44 Blacktooth stock, tipping the scales at under 20 ounces. The second-generation 3DHEX recoil pad absorbs recoil with interlocking voids, making magnum chamberings like the .257 Weatherby Magnum surprisingly pleasant to shoot. Enhanced spiral fluting on the bolt body ensures smooth operation, while the extended, skeletonized aluminum bolt handle adds both style and functionality.
The rifle is equipped with Weatherby’s Accubrake ST, blending seamlessly with the muzzle and featuring 30 symmetrically-spaced ports to tame recoil. A Cerakote finish in Patriot Brown protects the action and barrel, complemented by a brown and green camo pattern on the stock.
